pingpong & amnesia

June 3, 2026, marks the centennial of the birth of poet Allen Ginsberg. In honor of Ginsberg and inspired by his poem, Howl (which—along with Jack Kerouac's On the Road—is one of the foundational texts of the Beat generation), I have created an visual/audio art piece called pingpong & amnesia.

This work is influenced by everything from the perceptual art of James Turrell; both the music and computer experimentation of John Cage; Peter Schmidt and Brian Eno's Oblique Strategies; and George Maciunas’s Fluxus systems (particularly Yoko Ono’s instruction pieces).

To get started, I highly recommend you click the "Read the Introduction" button, but you can also go straight to the project.
